In the Timeline it say's that our electronic class is on 10/18 not 10/17 like everything says on your blog's. I hope i'm not to late.
Physical Appearance-
Everyone has their own unique physical appearance. The best way I would describe my appearance would be based on my height and body frame. I am about 5’4” and about 120 pounds. I have my Dad’s chin, neck and brown eyes and everything else I get from my mom. I have a small frame and curry blonde hair. Although, I am already taller than my mom I have no hope in getting much taller considering no one in my family is that tall.
Abstract-
Reading "The Story of my Life" on Helen Keller really made me appreciate everything in my life. If you have read this story you to know that Helen wasn't just blind she was death as well. Unlike most people who are both death and blind, Helen actually knew everything as if she was perfectly normal. She had her own personal teacher who worked with her every day.
I have always been very thankful for everything in my life but after reading this story it made me appreciate things I never really thought too much about before. People who live life everyday with all five senses like myself don't ever think about what it would be like without being able to see, taste, hear, smell, or touch something. I give both Helen and her teacher a lot of credit for making such improvement in Helen's everyday life.
Holidays-
Everyone loves holidays even if it’s not Christmas. Although Christmas is my favorite time of the year I also really enjoy the other holidays. I always look forward to holidays because that is the time where you get to spend time with your family and eat lots of food! My family always does different things for the holidays. For Halloween we always go for a hayride, Christmas we watching the pride in downtown Rochester, thanksgiving we have a huge dinner, eater we have an Easter egg hunt and for the fourth of July we always go to the fair and fireworks in Lake Orion. I’m sure each family does their own things for the holidays but I really enjoy what we do because no matter what we have fun!
Sports-
As for most high school students I was involved in two different sports. I played volleyball and ran track. I really enjoyed both playing and watching them ever since. I’m not much of a sport watcher on T.V. or anything because I don’t get into them like everyone else. Ever since I played volleyball that has always been my favorite sport probably because of how much I know about it.
Campus Life-
Everyone has their own take of what exactly their campus life has been like. As a freshman commuting to college has given me a very different take on campus life than if I was to live in the dorms. Although I don’t live too far away and am only in classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays I still get quiet a feel of the whole campus life. I love having freedom and being on a campus that everything is in walking distance. I also like that even though I don’t live in the dorms I have met a lot of great new people just from walking around and talking with people in my classes. I really enjoy everything about campus like and I can’t wait to see how much better it will get in the years to come.
Vocation-
Ever since I was a little kid my family has always traveled a lot. Although I’d prefer to go to places that are warm like Florida or on a Caribbean cruise I also enjoy just going to Boyne for a family ski trip. We use to have a motor-home so that was always fun to travel in but now that my sister and I have gotten older and are more busy we don’t travel as often. Vacations are always fun to go on because it’s a time to realize, get away from school and work and make good memories that you will remember for the rest of your life.
Quote-
Bryon’s quote that opens the book An Unquiet Mind stating, “I doubt sometimes whether a quiet and un-agitated life would have suited me- yet I sometimes long for I” fits this text very well. I really liked this quote because I felt it prepared me for what I am expecting to read in this book. This book is a story of a case of manic depression and I feel that quote relates to the story.
Physical Description
Physically I'm sort of short in my opinion, only 5"3 to 5"4. I have medium length blonde hair that I like to have resting on my shoulders. For practical reasons most the time I throw it up into a ponytail or bun. My complexion is ivory and sort of creamy depending on the seasons. Upon my left eyebrow I have a piercing, my eyebrows themselves are natural but kept, but they aren't over plucked at any means. Sunken to my face are two eyes, their color changes with my mood and what I'm wearing; most of the time they are blue, green, gold, gray and turquoise. My nose is rather straight and not too wide. Pale pink is the pigment of my lips, my lower lip is bigger than my upper lip. The part of me that listens best are normal sized I think, and have two piercing holes, now a days I don't wear earrings much. Following are my neck, shoulders and arms which are muscular do to all the working out I've done. Small are what my hands are, and some like to call them carnie hands, because people who work in carnivals need to have small hands apparently. One of the first things you'll notice about me is that I am endowed with large womanly parts. Which I hate personally because I'd wear a smaller shirt size if they weren't the size that they were. Going south a little more is my stomach. I have a bunch of scarring on my stomach from days of my adolescence, this area is a source of pain for me. Working hard to get rid of it but it hasn't been working well yet. My legs are short, but they are strong pillars. For thirteen years I danced, so they are sculpted like a dancers legs. Except for my calves, those are the most muscular part of my legs, they are formed from running so much and from me learning how to walk on my toes. Clothing wise I try to wear whats comfortable and easy to change out of since I have a lot of different uniforms I need to wear. Something casual chic, jeans, nice tops when they are washed or hooded sweatshirts.
Abstract
"The Story of My Life," by Helen Keller should be a wake up call to most people. Young adults, especially around my age really get wrapped up on all the superficial things in life and become obsessed with them. Getting entranced with false objects makes people really forget how lucky we are to have our vision, hearing and even the ability to learn normally. Too many people take this for granted, sometimes I find myself stressed out and I sit back and look at everything and take a moment and realize I'm so lucky, I just need to regroup and start over with a fresh attitude. Reading about Helen's experience is refreshing, put you in her shoes and observe, then immediately become grateful that thats not really your situation.
Sports
Waterpolo, Cheerleading and Dance are the only sports I have really been involved in all my life. Though I play football and Frisbee with my friends I've never been on a team for those sports or soccer. Many people think I'm crazy, especially because I live in Troy, that I've never played or been on a sports team for soccer. I enjoy watching hockey, college football, and I have soft spot for some baseball.
Holidays
I love holidays, people tend to be extra nice and mostly set aside other things to spend time with one another. Though I love Christmas, but I think it's just a tad ridiculous that stores are already selling Christmas things. There should be a rule stating that you can't start celebrating the next holiday until the first one has came and been completed. For myself, hearing Christmas music before thanksgiving really irritates me, so I will not listen to it until the day after Thanksgiving. You can call me a Grinch if you would like, but thats just the way I am.
Campus Life/ Classes
I'm really considering switching universities, I don't particularly like it here at Oakland. A lot of the students are commuters and don't really make an effort to talk to anyone and just go to class and leave. Being really social, this disappoints me a lot. Eastern University is what I'm looking into for a couple reasons. Commuting to U of M would be a lot closer, and I'd be able to live on campus and experience the college life I would like to have.
Shopping/Fashion/Beauty
Shopping! Oh how I love to shop, too bad I don't have money to go shopping with right now. There is nothing more than I would love to do, than go on a shopping spree right now and buy some new fall type clothes. I need new running shoes really badly, and new high heels. I like going to anywhere from Kohls, Target, Plato's Closet, Victoria's Secret, Hot Topic to Urban Outfitters, Hollister, Macy's, Nordstrom, Sephora and many other stores. If I had enough money I think I would dress a lot differently, but I make do with what I have.
A Physical Description of Me
A physical description of me is very simple. I am an African American girl with soulful dark brown eyes that wears glasses. I am 5’5 with pretty brown skin. My personality is very unique. Some say I am very different, because of the way I look at life. I am a dressy person that loves jewelry, and loves clothes that are stylish for my self. I can say that I love who I am and I love how I look. I think me a very fantastic person inside and out.
Responding To the Quotes
1. Responding to Gloria Steinem:
In My opinion writing for me is something enjoyable, and writing helps you interpret things you can’t say. The Quote is very responsive, because it gives you the meaning of what writing really is and the expressions of writing that many people and I use.
2. Responding to Byron:
I think the quote means if being quiet and not disturbed in your life at all will sometimes be a bore, but would be satisfying if you love peace and quiet. But what’s life if you don’t have disturbance even though you would mind just to have that alone time and have peace surrounding you at times. But life is everything including the noise and the quietness many long for.
3. Responding to Langston Hughes:
I think the quote means justice is a blind goodness that stands for freedom and equality to the world. The bandages hide all the wrong doing and vicious things in the world. But the whole quote stands for freedom and justice to everyone.
Sports
Sports are neither my favorite hobby nor my favorite topic. But if I had to choose a sport it would be football, because my brothers watch football and play the sport all the time, and my boyfriend play football in college. So I have got immune to watching the sport on television and sometimes find myself playing the sport with my family or watching the game every Sunday. Football is sometimes interesting, because of the tackling and catching the ball, it’s all about the excitement of the game for me. So I guess you can say football is my favorite sport to watch and participate
Abstract
The Story of My Life
Helen Keller was a woman that was courageous and fearless. Helen was a woman that was blind, but didn’t use her disability as a crutch. Instead she used it as one of her strengths in her life. Throughout her life she had assistants to help her be the success that she was in life. Anne Mansfield Sullivan was apart of Helens life, even throughout adult hood. Anne was there for Helen but she was more like apart of her family, she taught her how to read and pronounce words, and how to use her words in sentences. Helen took all that information that she was taught and used it for the rest of her life, and that’s what made her the success that she was in her life. To inspire young children to become whatever they want in life no matter what there disabilities are or challenges they go through in there young lives.
Holidays
Holidays are a special time of year for me, because I spend time with my family and talk and interact with others you normally don’t see or spend time with. My favorite two holidays are Thanksgiving and Christmas. Because I get to eat, and be on a little vacation from school. Thanksgiving is about giving and relaxing with my family, and sometimes just eating and enjoying old times, Christmas is about giving and receiving gifts from everyone, but it’s mostly about the love and time you spend with the ones you love. So the holidays for me are mostly laughable, enjoyable, and just appreciating the ones you love in your life.
Campus Life and Classes
Campus life and classes are experiences that everyone lives everyday. To me campus life is new. Because I’m surrounded in a new environment, meeting new people, and learning new things. The classes are some what satisfactory, because the professors actually take the time out to teach the lesson and go over any assignments that you need. I think college for me is pretty easy, except for math. But over all school are fun and I learning something about school and myself everyday.
Food
Food is very good and nutritious for your health, and also one of my favorite topics. I really love food, because of the taste and smell of it. Food is something you have to have to live off of and value, all because many people in other countries don’t get to eat everyday on a regular bases like us Americans. But my favorite food is hard to describe, because I love all kinds of food and dishes. I love pizza, pastas, salads, chicken, steaks, and many other enjoyable foods. Food is so good that I’m so greedy I always have to get more.

There are many ways you can descibe a person. The way I would describe my self Is that im short and slender. My height is 5'3, and I weigh about 110. I have a dark complection, and brown eyes just like my dad. My hair is also brown, which I get from both parents. There are many physical apperarances I have that relate to both my parents. But more people say that I look more like my dad and act like my mom. These are just a few descriptions of what I look like.
*Response to the quotes*
There where three quotes we read and discussed in class. The authors where Gloria Steinem, Byron, and Langston Hughes. Each quote was different from one another. The quote I liked the least was by Lanston Hughes because I didn't really understand what he was trying to say. The other two quotes I evenly liked. The reason for this is because I can relate to what each one is trying to say. When I read Gloria Steinem's quote I feel like someone understands how I feel about writing papers. When I write my papers It does get frighting and I feel like they may not be good enough. The other quote by Byron talks about how someone can always be busy and never have time to relax. But couldn't see there life any other way. This is how I feel about my life and I couldn't picture it any other way. Everyone has there thoughts on each of these quotes and these are mine.
*Abstract*
After reading "The Story of my Life" on Helen Keller It made me thankful for the life I have. As many of you know Helen was blind and dealth since she was a little girl. When I read this articale it made me sad that someone could go through something like this. But there is one thing that really caught me off gard and thats Helen learned the meaning of everything even though she was blind and dealth. Keller had a teacher who helped her several hours of each day. All I know is I give both of these ladies alot of credit for being able to do what they did. I wouldn't have been able to do what these two did and I know many others wouldn't either.
*Sports*
Since I was very little I always was into sports. When I was in middle school I played several sports such as volleyball, softball, and track. But in high school I only ended up playing softball for two years. This was my favorite sport to play out of all the others I have experenced. I don't only love playing sports though I also like to watch them. The Detroit Pistons and Tigers are pretty much the only sports on tv I really enjoy watching. Don't get me wroung I do like watching other sports also. But I get more into watching these teams over others.
*Holidays*
Everyone loves holidays know matter if its Chrismas, Thanksgiving, Halloween, Easter, or Forth of July. Each holdiday is something very different and special to each family. Families all over do different things for each holiday. My family on Chrismas goes to my aunts house and watch the game. Thanksgiving we always have a big feast where friends and family come over. Halloween usually we go to haunted houses or to the cider mill. An the Fourth of July we go to the fireworks and fair in down town Lake Orion. Each of these holidays I enjoy alot because I get to spend them with my family and friends. Also because of the delious food.
*Campus Life*
Campus life is different for each induvidual. Since I'm a freshman and commute this life style is very new to me. I came into this college not knowing alot of people. An thinking that I wouldn't meet any one because I commute. Also having classes only on Tuesday and Thursday's made it diffcult. I was wroung while I've been here I met so many new people in my classes and through my sorority. Even though I'm not on campus much I really get the idea of what college is. So far I love everything about campus life and can't wait to see what else comes my way.
*Vocation*
When I was little my family always travled alot. Most of the time we would go to Flordia. Also my family are big campers so we would go camping alot. I loved going to Flordia and camping all the time to spend time with my family. But now that my brother and I are older we don't travel that much. These trips always seemed to be something that took us away from work and school just to spend time together. It makes me sad that we don't get this time to spend together because we are always busy.
Sports:
Sports are an activity that is governed by a set of rules. That people of all ages play for fun some professorial sport players get paid for it and others play for the schools or another type of organization. Sports has been around since (4000B.C.) the Chinese engaged in sporting activities Gymnastics appears to have been a popular sport in China's ancient past. Monuments to the Pharaohs indicate that a number of sports, including swimming and fishing, were well-developed and regulated several. Sports are more commonly refer to activities where the physical capabilities of the competitor are the sole or primary determiner of the outcome (winning or losing) sports are now world wild.
Campus life:
I think that living on campus is one of the greatest experience ever for all college students your first year. Here at Oakland you get to know more people around campus the REC is always open and you can join my different organization on campus there are over 150. If you are looking for a job they have student employment also they have a great library. What's more the Student Program Bored great event like Midnight madness and RAC fest and much more for students.
But after all that all that week end it seem like ever one leave to go home may be their home sick but that’s why I live on campus to stay for a long time away from home for at least a month or two. People need grow up more and leave home and stay on campus I know it can get boring but if ever one is her people can make something happen.
Furthermore life campus is a great experience for first year college student and I love it.
Physical description:
I am really short for my age. I am about 4”11 I think and my weight is about 95 pounds I’m light skinned cut hair. Tattoo on the neck and to ear rings and hazel eyes. Also I use a wheelchair to get around be I have scoliosis.
Music:
Music is an art form consisting of sound and silence expressed through time music is a universal language throughout culture. The development of music came among the backdrop of natural sounds such as birdsong and the sounds other animals use to communicate. The human voice is one of the oldest musical instrument know the music that composers make can be heard through several media the most traditional way is to hear it live, in the presence, or as one of the musicians. Live music can also be broadcast over the radio, television or the internet. Music is an important part of cultural and social life.

Holidays:
The word holiday is really special religious days. A holiday can be a day set aside by a nation or culture a holiday can also be a special day on which school and/or offices are closed, such as Labor Day. Also holidays are a time to remember your past memories and to spend time with your family like on Christmas or another religious holiday you celebrate.
Byron Quote
I would agree with this quote for my own personal life. As the message is saying that even though his life was eventful and not dull, he wonders and still longs for simplicity, as do i.
Langston Hughes Quote
In this quote Hughes is describing Justice and how she isn't blind and perhaps favors one race over another. I think Justice is what the eye of the beholder make it out to be. No one should be higher than someone else and racism is both ways. I also think people are racist without really knowing it as well.
Floria Steinem Quote
It's great that she has found what makes her happy, many people go all their lives not knowing and just living in unhappiness. When you have the idea and you can live out what you want to do thats the most amazing gift of all. I suppose it could be frightening in a way that you could be scared that it could all go away.

I am a 18 year old male, asian american from filipino decents. I have black, spikey hair and brown eyes. My skin is tanned colored. I'm short and slender built. Both of my ears are pierced. I wear casual and sometimes preppy clothes. I love wearing basketball shoes.
Response to quote
Gloria Steinem's quote explains that she loves her job as a writer. She knows when she finishes her work, she feels good about herself. She is very concentrated, while she is writing. It shows she wants no distractions to finsh her work. She scared of what people might think of her book and their response. She has goals to accomplish her task and be rewarded by the positive feedback by her readers. Gloria loves to write.
Abstract
In "Salvation" by Langston Hughes, an African American essayist, poet, and author examines his first encounter experience with Jesus in the Pentecostal and Charismatic movement. It started at age 12 at Auntie Reed's church. Many church members came to be saved from their sins. They prayed, sang, and rejoiced. When Jesus was in their soul, sinners saw a light, heard voices, and felt the presence of His holiness. Langston felt pressured by the other children and the other members of the church. The intense atmosphere and long duration at the church, Langston lied and made other church members believe that Jesus saved him. That night, he realized and became a true sinner because he betrayed himself and to other people around him. Langston did not believe there was a Jesus.
Sports
Detroit Pistons is my favorite basketball team. In 2004, Detroit Pistons won the NBA Championship. For the last few years, Detroit Pistons maintained its position with a dominant roster which led the team to the playoffs. Detroit Pistons consisted of great players like Richard Hamilton, Chauncey Billups, and Rasheed Walllace. They played amazing games at the Palace of Auburn Hills. Many fans of the Detroit Pistons loved to watch them play. I had the opportunity to see the Detroit Pistons play at Oakland University.
Holidays
Christmas is that special gathering holiday time of the year. Families spend time and share the joyous occasion in one of the family's home. Usually the house and Christmas tree were decorated with Christmas ornaments. The atmosphere was filled with Christmas spirit. The families exchanged and recieved surprising gifts. They ate delicious foods. At times, families sang few Christmas carols throughout the night.
Animal
Snakes have been one of the intriguing and interesting creation in the animal kingdom. Snakes moved in precise motion on the ground. It detects its prey from the special properties of its tongue. Snakes come in different sizes, shapes, and colors. Snakes are found in the water or on land. Some snakes have poisonous venom, give deadly bites, or constricts its prey to death. Snakes are found all over the world.
Food
Cheeseburgers is my favorite childhood meal. It tastes delicious, smells good, and easy to eat. Cheeseburgers come with a side order of french fries. For example, McDonald's kids meal has a surprise toy. At Burger King, the burgers are flamebroiled. These cheeseburgers have different variety of unique tastes and flavors. Cheeseburgers are affordable. These burgers are quite satisfying to the appetite of many children.

My physical features are very unique. I’m a Caucasian female with natural long blonde hair with a dull scar right on my hairline. Luckily, its invisible to the naked eye. My eyes are hazel, with long curly dark eye lashes. On my face along with my freckles under my left eye I have a red, bubbly, and disgusting scar that everyone can see. Worst of all the scar has a story behind it that will stay with me for the rest of my life. My teeth are straight thanks to the braces I had on for three years. Lips that if you looked close enough you can see tiny scars which I have to look at everyday. Even though you maybe not be able to see it I look in the mirror every morning and I feel that all I can see. My neck is as equally long as a giraffes, only if had long thin legs too. Instead I have short chubby legs that are not very impressive. You may ask who are you describing? This would be me Angela May Shamus.
- Sports
One of the most intense sports with the most blood and broken bones would be football. Growing up watching football every weekend with my dad and watching my brother play football every Sunday, I have grown an attachment to football. Football is a very hard sport to learn all the rules and very hard to follow but, after years of watching football you tend to catch on. Football has been a big part of my life since I was just a little girl. I remember going to watch the lions play at ford field with my dad laughing and cheering hoping the lions will win, but that’s a lot to hope for now a days.

Today in 2007, Anne Mansfield Sullivan is famous for her dedication, patients, her hard work, and devoted heart towards Helen Keller. Anne was a sensational teacher, she taught Helen every thing that she knows. Helen three months before she was seven on March 3, 1887, was very blessed because she met Anne Sullivan, her teacher. Helen didn’t know what to expect, she didn’t realize what her future held for her. Helen had it hard until she met her, not being able to see or hear was difficult for her to understand at the age of 7. She didn’t know her manners, and how to respect others. Anne had the patients for her unlike Helen’s own family. She gave Helen the time to understand what she was signing to her in her hand, even though Helen knew how to repeat the words back to Anne, Anne knew she didn’t know the meaning. Though, Anne did not stop trying, and Helen only grasping certain words such as mother, father, and doll, not once did Anne want to quit on Helen. Helen tells you about the day she met Anne, written by Helen herself.
-Holidays
It’s almost that time of year again where the snow is falling, the stores are filled with people, and there is Christmas music playing everywhere. This is my favorite time of year because it is the time of year where I spend my time with my family making Christmas cookies, hanging up Christmas decoration, singing Christmas carols and just enjoying each other company. Christmas is not about receiving gifts or giving to others it’s the time to be happy, joyful and to celebrate the birth of Jesus.
- Campus life and classes
Every week it’s the same usual routine. Mondays, Wednesday, and Fridays my alarm clock goes off bright an early at 6:00 am. I leave my dorm around 7:00 am to go purchase a large chocolate mocha, to keep me awake in class. At 8:00 am I sit in math class and take a quiz everyday. Luckily, math class is only an hour long, so the time goes by fast. Around 10:30 am I go to psychology where my professor just lecture the whole entire hour. Tuesdays are my longest days of my life. I sit in rhetoric 102 from 10:00 am until exactly 11:47 am. Around noon I go over to the café and have a quick lunch with my friends until art history class at 1:00 pm. My day is not over yet, right after art history class I go straight to com 101 until 4:20. Then finally my Tuesday is all over after being lectured at all day. Though Thursday is not much better. Its exactly the same as Tuesday but, with out the com 101.That’s a day of your average college student.
-Vacation
One of my favorite vacation trips was when I was a young girl about seven years old my family and I went to Disney World. It was the time of my life when I had no care in the world just loved being with my family. I remember the Disney parade which, me and my brother were in just singing a dancing and riding space mountain over and over again. We ate breakfast every morning with Minnie and Mickey Mouse and just had a wonderful time.

When Gloria is writing she doesn’t feel like she should be doing anything else. When writing she feels a since of accomplishment and pride but, sometime frighten. While, reading this quote I ponder to myself why would she feel frighten? How can you be frighten to write? I guess though sometimes I become frighten that I may make a big mistake or that I wont finish my writing in time. I wished I enjoyed writing just as much as Gloria did.
This eighteen year old Africa American plus size female is tall with a height ranging from 5’8 – 5’10 with butter colored completion. Her hair is placed messy into a pony tail with old worn kinky twist braids in shades of brown both light and dark. She has light brown hazel net eyes but she always wear her bold black prescription glasses with white stripes on the legs of the frame accented by small rhinestones. She has four piecing, two in each ear. She always wears four small stud ear rings. Across her hairline and on her right nostril there are small moles. There are also many skin tags scarred across her cheeks. Placed on her throat is a black dime size mole that represents her birthmark. Most of the time this person is wearing black, hoodies and zip up jackets are her favorite. You will always find a black case on the right side of her hip that holds her cellular device. This person is Jaime N. Jones.
The quote is saying that writing is like a job. When you’re at work you want to leave and do something else. However, you can’t because you have a task you must complete. You have to discipline yourself just like in writing. When you write you don’t want to sit there and do it but because you have to you are forced to. Also, at work when you complete a task you feel good about yourself. The same goes for writing, when you complete you’re writing assignment you are happy and proud of yourself. This quote is also saying that at work and when you write you are nervous and scared about the judgments others might make of you.
I love sports. My favorite sport is basketball. However, I have participated in competitive swimming for four years. I started my freshman year of high school. Competitive swimming isn’t like your average recreational swimming. You train to swim the fastest and the longest distance. There were seven different events: individual medley (IM), medley and freestyle, 200, 400, and 800 yards. There were four different strokes: butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke, and freestyle (front crawl). My favorite part is diving. I learned many different types of dives. I also learned that if you dive the wrong way it hurts. Ouch! My school went to various competitions and regionals. We weren’t the best but, I enjoyed my self. I was honored the most consistent swimmer as well as the most valuable swimming for three consecutive years. Currently I am not involved in competitive swimming. I still go to the recreation center and swim at least three times a week.
I don’t have a favorite holiday. I love them all. Every holiday my mother cooks dinner and invite the family over. We have a really nice time. I like when my family comes together and spend time with each other because we rarely see everyone in one place at the same time.
Campus life is amazing! There is always something going on. You can never be board. I believe you can not get the full experience of college unless you are involved in the campus life. There are many organizations to get involved with. Currently I am in the Freshman Fashion Show sponsored by Sigma Gamma Rho.
Some people get caught up in fashion. They always want the most expensive thing and what everyone else has just to fit in. They spend there last dime on unnecessary items. I am against that. I don’t believe you should spend all your money on a piece of fabric just to fit in with everyone else. Clothes are clothes and shoes are shoes. As long as you have something on your back and something on your feet you should be happy. There are people in this world that don’t have anything wear.
This story is about a little boy that attended a church revival. At this church rival adults were trying to pressure him to get saved. He knew what it meant to be saved, but he thought Jesus would walk down the isle of the church and rescue him from all his problems. Day after day, the boy continued attending the service waiting on Jesus to rescue him; however, he never came. Many adults continued to persuade him to go to the alter and get saved. On the last day of the revival the boy decided to get saved to make the adults happy. Later that night the boy’s family explained how happy they were that he decided to make this life changing event. He started to cry and explain that he really didn’t want to get saved; he only went to the alter to make his family happy.
Physical Appearence -
I am a 5'4" caucasion female with a estimated weight of 120 pounds at the current age of 18. I have red hair and freckles. My freckles were my kisses from the angels, that's what y parents always said. My eyes are origionally a grey/blue. Now I cheated a little and have eyes that are now bluer than the ocean thanks to technology. I have a couple piercings, 4 in each ear, my navel and also my nose. I had braces for 9 years, so my teeth are as close to perfect as you can get. Also the cankle and huge foot gene run in my family and I was lucky enough to recieve them both.

Holidays-
I think that holidays are losing their origional meanings. Do you know the origional meaning behind Christmas? Well to me it's the time that Jesus was born. I know that everyone is not Christian, but I think that even the Christians are losing sigt of the real meaning. Even Thanksgiving is losing its meaning. It's not only about eating turkey and watching football. I think that people should review and rethink their priorities and remember how everything really came about.
Sports-
I have been an althete my whole life. I started playing sports when I was in second grade and continued until I was a sophmore in high school. I played basketball, volleyball, soccer and track. I really like the adrenaline rush and the copetativeness of the game. I still enjoy playing and watching sports all the time.

Campus Life-
Campus life was everything that I dreamed it would be. It's great that I am now independent enough to be on my own and aking y own decisions. I can do what I want when I want. There are still rules, but that is for the general safety of students which is completely understandable. I am able to study and participate in school activities. I was going to commute from my home town of MArine City, but I am glad that I made the choice of moving here because it benefitted me tremendously.
Food-
My favorite type of foods are sushi and thai. They coincide because they are made from the same culture. Thai food is easily explained as spicy chinese food. I know that sushi is stereotyped as being raw fish. Well what many people don't know is that there are types of sushi that are cooked. I personally enjoy these types of food because it is not very common and it is verry unique.
Helen Keller Abstract-
Helen Keller illustrates the first steps towards learning sign language with her life long companion, Anne Mansfield Sullivan. Anne teaches Helen a new way of signing. She actually spelled words into Helen's hand. Only being 7 years old, Helen thought that signing was a game and she would imitate it back to her teacher, Anne. Helen was still unsure of what she was doing symbolically with her hands. A few weeks after Anne has been working with Helen, she finally understood that everything has a name. Helen would become very frusterated at times when trying to learn new words. The word water was probably he hardest for Helen to understand. The meaning was just not making any sense to her young mind. She really didn't feel any love or tenderness to anything that she was learning about in her "dark world". Finally Anne took Helen to a stream and let her feel the water itself. Once that cool water has been flowing over her fingertips it all became clear to her. After making the realization that everything has a name, Helen became very eager to learn. A new day would arrive and she couldn't wait to see what Anne had in store for her that day. New thoughts began to arise and her "dark world" became filled with light. Helen seemed to have a weight lifterd off of er chest and she became a happier child.

I am an eighteen-year-old Caucasian female who stands about an average height at 5’7. I have medium brown colored hair, which is normally worn straight down. On those days it is not straightened, it is pulled into a bun with a headband or in a ponytail. I have enormously, stunning hazel colored eyes and a dazzling, white friendly smile. I have my cartilage, and ears double pierced. A beautiful set of diamond stud earrings are always placed in them. On a normal day, I would wear jeans, flip flops and a comfortable shirt.

If life was not like this, it would be very boring and unaccomplished. Sometimes, sitting, relaxing, and enjoying life is what an individual needs. Sports--
Bump, set, spike these are some of the skills of a volleyball player. In the game of volleyball communication and strength is key to a successful team. Without these two major qualities a team may become weak and fall apart. Communication is used to direct players to whom or where the ball is going. Without communication two or more players may collide causing a miss play of the ball. Strength is used to put power behind the ball, to dig it up or even to spike. Without strength a team wouldn’t gain or score points.
Holidays--
Christmas is a holiday many people celebrate. Family and friends gather together to enjoy one another’s company and to exchange gifts. Some traditions of my family on this holiday are putting up a Christmas tree and decorating it with beautiful ornaments and lights while watching a Christmas movie. Another tradition includes having dinner at my grandma and grandpa’s house where they cook food and me and my brother open presents and sit around and talk all night long.
Animals--
There are many different kinds of animals that live on our planet. One of the most amazing creatures that lives in many of the oceans around the world, are jellyfish. Jellyfish or also known as jellies are invertebrates. They are shaped like little umbrella swimming around in the ocean. They do not have any body parts, but they kill their prey by brushing their tentacles against an object causing them to die. They usually do not kill humans, but they do cause stinging or a burning sensation.
Vacation--
Vacations are a time to get away, relax and have fun. One of the best vacations I have ever been on was my trip to Jamaica. We stayed in a fabulous hotel with five swimming pools, beautiful scenery, and hotel rooms. Many activities were planned such as traveling into town, pig roast, bike rides and crafts. The weather was sunny and warm. This was a very unforgettable trip, that I will have memories forver.

Abstract: Salvation is a personal response of Langston Hughes life as a child. This piece of writing was produced in the "jazz age" 20th century. This writing described Hughes experience with Christ. He described the church scene, and how the people were singing and the way they praised God. He described how long church sermons just kept him waiting and waiting. Only with the mentality of a thirteen year old all he could think back on what people told him. He told himself that he was going to be saved. As Hughes got up to be saved he thinks that he will see God. Just as Langston Hughes gets saved he's awaiting Salvation. Salvation was a short story that was writtem by Langston Hughes. In this story he was thirteen when he was in his auntie's church and all the children had to go to the alter so that they can be saved. I love the pistons so much. That is my favorite sports team and i love them to death. I really enjoyed basketball a lot but I rather watch it then to play it because i get tired to fast when I play basketball. I get really excited when the pistons when their basketball game and I get really ticked off when they loose a game. I was so happy when the pistons won the championship. I was bragging that whole year.when I was a senior in high school I wanted my gradution present to be a pistons championship but that didnt come true.

I really love animals! I love mammals, birds, and some fish. i dont like sharks, and retiles they scare me. animals are so cute and smart, and people really think that animals are dumb but some of them are actully smarter then humans. I have a dog and a cat and i wish that i can have more but my house is not big enough. Hoildays
The best thing about hoildays is no school. I really dont celebrate that many holidays but my favorite one is the 4th of july because of all the fireworks and the good food, and most of all i get to be with my family. So holidays to me dont make sense and I dont understand whats the propose of them like halloween and valentines day.

Who can survive without food i know i cant. my favorite foods are chinese, pasta, pizza, and chicken. I can eat those foods all the time and never get tired of them. for some reason food cheers me up especially when im sad and depressed. One thing about me is that i do eat a lot and thats not good because i dont workout as much as I used to. so of course i do gain weight by eating a lot a food, and that sucks.
If I had to describe myself, I would say that I am about 5’7 with shoulder length hair. My hair is black with brown highlights. I have brown eyes. My favorite sport is basketball. Basketball is my favorite sport because it is the sport that I play. I have been playing basketball since the eighth grade. Unfortunately I was not consistent with it; I would play every other year. For me basketball is a way for me to release all the anger that has been bottle up in me. Any time I get mad I go to the court and play ball. I really can’t set and watch professional or college basketball. When you are watching you see a whole lot of mistakes and there’s nothing you can do about it. But a high school game I can watch all day, but not on TV. It’s fascinating to watch. Most of the players are trying to make it to the big league and seeing how aggressive they are is just too funny.
When I was little I loved holidays. My family that lives in Michigan would come to Missouri or we would go to Michigan. I remember one year when I was 7 or 8, I had went to Michigan for the fourth of July. That trip was an experience. My cousin had come down to Missouri for the summer, so it was me, my sister, my cousin, and our parents all going to Michigan. While on the way we had stopped in Indiana to get fireworks. They spent at least one thousand dollars in Indiana. Then when we got to my uncle house, we had to go grocery shopping and the spent another thousand dollars there. When it comes to holidays my family out do themselves. On the 4th we would cook and do fireworks all days. At night was the best because it is when they come out with the big stuff. On top of that we would have battles with everyone else who is going their fireworks. We would win every year.
I love to eat and talk about food. When you talk about food it just makes you hungry. Then you have to go eat. I have a couple of favorite foods like tacos, chicken, mash potatoes, greens, mac and cheese, ribs and the list goes on. My all time favorite is tacos. I can eat tacos day and night. I would go to Taco Bell after school and get three tacos every day that I could. My friend would tease me but I did care. Every time my mama would ask where we want to eat, I would say anywhere I can get a taco.
I feel when you go to college you should stay on campus. I feel that way because it is a growing experience. It is a way to test if you can make it out there in the real world all on your own. If me I was struggling, I was so use to having my mother there I didn’t know what to do. Now I feel that I can make it because I have overcome obstacle that I might not have overcame if I was at home. Living on campus is another way to make friend from another background. This school is diverted and I went to get to know someone of another race, cause all my friends a black and it’s time for me to step out the box and advantage to something new.

It’s frightening because if your work gets publish, then you have to worry about if people would buy it. The it’s an accomplishment because you can say that you are finally done and know you can just set back and relax. For me anything that I write and people like it is a big accomplishment for me because I am the type of person that hates writing and if you like something that I write is an achievement and it might just motivate me to keep on writing.
Langston Hughes essay “Salvation” is about him going to a revival with his Auntie Reed. He was going to church every night for weeks and on the last day of the revival they had a special service of the youth to come to the lord. Hughes had been told that when God enters your life you will see a light and something inside you happens. So that night, all the youth expected god into their life. Everyone expect Hughes. He was the only one let. The elderly sounded him and prayed for him. Finally he got up. Later the night he sat up crying his aunt and uncle heard him. Then his aunt said he was crying because god had entered his life. That was not case, he was crying because he had lied to his aunt and to god.

Gloria states with power that writing is the only thing for her. The feeling she gets while jotting ideas down are her inspiration and motivation. She takes pride in each of her pieces and has a positive sense of accomplishment from them.
Peace and tranquility are two things people overlook in t heir busy lives today. With all the hustle and bustle around these days no one stops to smell the roses. Byron seems to be a person full of action and excitement amidst his life of peace.
Hughes way of words leads us to look between the lines at the concealed meanings. He entangles the barbaric side of our government in his quote. In the early 19th century Hughes witnessed the racist actions our government took against African Americans. He references the festering sores hidden by clothe on the statue of Justice.

Abstract
Langston Hughes was a man brought up in a religious family. On one church Sunday, Langston and all of the other “Lamb of God” gathered in the front of the Church. While kneeling on the mourning bench, Hughes made a mistake he would end up regretting for the rest of his life.
During mass, the priest explained that every little child in the church would be visited by a higher power during church. While the congregation was praying and the preacher preaching, one by one the children started having visions. As soon as Hughes could realize what was happening he was only one of two children left. The other boy decided to deceive the church and lie about seeing the vision of a supreme being. After that fateful church Sunday, Hughes has no belief in higher powers because he was not visited by the vision of a supreme being.
Sports
The smell of hot dogs floods the air. I am 12 years old and playing on a travel baseball team called the Raptors. This team has been together for only one season and we are still working out the kinks in workings. I am playing left field and there is a ball hit between the centerfielder and I. We both are sprinting for the ball, he dives, I jump, and right in the middle of all that he dives into my extended weight bearing leg. My femur snaps like a twig in autumn. I remember waking up in the emergency room to my Mom and Dad telling me I have to have surgery to put my leg back together. Wow, I know! How you would feel having all of that put on you shortly after regaining conciseness from a traumatic injury?
Holidays
I have been blessed with what you could call a high metabolism. For as long as I can remember thanksgiving has been the best holiday for me. My grandparents host our enormous family every year for this feast. My favorite memories from this time of year are of how hectic the kitchen would be from 6:00 a.m. right up to dinner at 6:00 p.m. The amount of food that was prepared in their little kitchen would astonish most five star restaurants. I can remember filling my plate from the gigantic buffet line entangled throughout the kitchen. The first trip through would be the biggest and gradually by three trips up I am only getting mashed potatoes and cranberry sauce. After all the madness has settled we sit at talk as an entire family about life. It’s the one time everyone is happy, this is why it is special for me.
Current event
In Manila, Philippines there have been many discoveries of marine wildlife. In the Celebes Sea three new species have been discovered. This area is the heart of the Coral Triangle. Over 24 US and Philippine scientists were the ones responsible for the discovery along with underwater photographer from National Geographics. The importance of this discovery is that there are life forms out there we have no idea about. Some discoveries might be breakthroughs in medical fields.
Food
I have worked in the food industry for 6 years now. I started out washing dishes in my uncle’s restaurant and eventually worked my way up to a cooking position. I love the food with a burning passion. I love the taste, smell, texture, and most of all the feeling it gives you when you stuff your face. I am a big advocate for natural foods organically grown.

The way to describe myself is that I look just like my dad. When you look at me you see height. I am 5'8 and well the weight I will not say. I have my dad's nose and lips. Reading "The Story of my Life" on Helen Keller really made me look at the way my life is. I go through everyday life not appreciateing what I have. Where Helen Keller was blind, deaf, and dumb. I am very thankful for the life that I lead everyday. I am thankful for all the people that I have in my life as well as the materialistic things I have.

I love watching sports on T.V. I was involved with sports when I was in school. I played on our track team. I love watch football and baseball, they are two of my favorite sports that I will watch on T.V. I always went to our school sports functions on watched them. Sports is pretty big in my family, we like watch football, baseball, and basketball.
Holiday-
Holiday's are a time of year that all your family gets together and celebrates. Its a time of year when people are aways in a good, and excited for a celebration. On Thanksgiving day my mom gets up early in the morning and puts the turkey in the oven and then her and I watch the thanksgiving day parade. On christmas my mom's sister comes over and we play games and my sisters come over and spend the whole day with us. I love the holidays because I get to spend it with my family.
Campus Life-
Being a college student is really different from being in high school. You don't have people telling you what to do all the time you are your own person. Commuting to college has been really different for me as a freshmen, many people are their for so many different reasons. It is a new world out their and since I am not living on campus you don't really get that full feel of what college is really like. Since I have been going to college though the experience that I have had I love so far.
Food-
I love food to death, I am always eatting something. I eat when I get up in the morning, when I am at school, right when I get home from school. I am always eatting. You need food to keep you alive but I love eatting in general. My favorite food in the whole world would have to be Thai food. I love to spicy part of it and all the different vegetables. Food is the best part of being a human besides breathing of course.

In the short reading Salvation by Langston Hughes, there are many different themes used in the story. The themes of disbelief, struggle, and guilt are shown throughout this story. Hughes is the center of attention as a boy in a revival being held at his aunts church. Young Hughes and other children have a meeting held at the end of the ceremony “to bring the young lambs to the fold.” As the children moved forward and were brought to Jesus, Hughes and another boy waited for Jesus to save them from their sins. After nothing took place the other remaining boy was tired of waiting. He stood up and was saved.
Hughes remained alone struggling with the fact that he has to lie due to Jesus not coming and saving him. His struggle to believe that Jesus may never come and save him from his sins leads Hughes into a disbelief of Jesus. His disbelief of Jesus would worry his aunt and he will not confront his lies to her. By doing so Hughes becomes guilty that he had to lie to his aunt, and for lying in the Temple. All of these themes express the way that Langston Hughes is feeling in his short story Salvation.
-Physical Description of Myself
To describe myself you could say many things. Three things you can say to describe me are elongated, athletic, and young. First of all I would describe myself as young, due to my baby looking face when shaved. This feature describes me as a young man; this is one of my main features. To describe myself as tall I am a little over six feet in height with a longer lower body. Another feature that describes me is my athletic build from playing various sports. My lower body has wider legs and feet of a hockey player, while my upper body has long arms of a basketball player. I play both of these sports and they give me the build of an athlete and show my elongated features.

My favorite holiday would have to be Halloween. This holiday is my favorite because of the freedom to dress up and take candy from strangers. This holiday doesn’t only allow you to dress up and be what you want to be, you also take place in an event that allows you to share with the world. Ever since I was a child I loved to go trick or treating and looked forward to it every year. Halloween cannot compare to any other holiday that exists.

Assistant Captain Henrich Zetterburg is leading the team with 13 points in 7 games; he is also leading the National Hockey League in points. Datsyuk, Draper, and Holmstrom follow their Assistant Captain closely in points making this season possible for another Stanley Cup.

Campus Life
I don’t live on Campus. I drive here every Tuesday and Thursday for class from 8-5. Campus life is much different from High School life and is almost a world of its own. It shows you how much you have grown up from what you were once before. You are responsible for all your actions, and create the foundation for your future here on campus. College has a fun side that you find on campus. You meet new people, make new friends, and find new interests in things you may have never done before. This life is a life of its own, a new beginning to the future you create for yourself. This is the life of a college campus.

The Pistons were founded in the 1950's. The founder of the Pistons is Fred Zollne, which started in Ft. Wayne, In. The Pistons moved to the great city of Detroit for financially problems. Now here in the great city of Detroit we have one of the best basketball teams in the NBA known as the Detroit Pistons. ThePistons went from the worse to the best. They have had many hardships and losses. The Pistons won the NBA titles throughout the following years: 1988-1990, and 2003-2004. Now as we speak the Detroit Pistons have an amazing team. As time goes on this team has been serving throughout the communities.

The definition of holiday is a religious feast day;a holy day, a day free of wor on which custom or the law dictates a halting of general business activity to celebrate a particular event. My favorite holiday is all of the holidays. The ones I love the most is Thanksgiving and Christmas. Thanksgiving is a day to give thanks to those who have made the way for you especially God. On this day its a huge feast with so many different foods. Christmas is also my favorite holiday. Besides trhe gifts, and foods. Christmas is a time to praise and thanks those who has made an inpact on your life. To spend time with family and friends. According to the Detroit News Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick is ready to settle lawsuit for 8 million dollars after jury sided with the two police officers. This is nonsense 8 million dollars. Where is all this money coming from. If the mayor is able to give them 8 million dollars than why is most of the Detroit Public Schools closed, why is it that kids dont have books to read.Than why is the city in debt if the mayor could just pull 8 million doolars for underneath him.
Food:
Food is material usually from plant or animal origin that contains essential body nutrients. Food is for the body, mind, and soul. Although some foods or to much food is not good for you. Everyone needs the proper nutrients in life, and that consist of eating. Different cultures and religion groups eat different types of food. Well, I eat a lot of different foods such as pizza, chicken, pork, beef and other foods that have nutrients for my everyday living.

As the story goes on more and more children see Christ but Langston and another boy do not. Once it is just the two boys for several minutes the other boy just says the hell with it and lies about seeing Christ and just goes up with all the other boys. Langston doesn't know what to do because he doesn't want to disappoint everybody. He ends up lying just like the other boy and walks up to the alter saying, he has seen Christ. After the revival he goes home with his aunt and when he is trying to sleep he begins to cry because he feels that he can never be saved now.

Tiger Woods is one of the most well know athletes in the entire world. He has transformed the game of golf into what it is today. Many viewers only watch golf if Tiger Woods is playing and he has a chance to win. He is the best golfer of my time and has a legitimate chance to be the best golf to ever play the game. To beat Jack Nicklaus 18 major championship wins will be an amazing accomplishment and if he does so he will then hands down be the best golfer of all time.
Thanksgiving
Thanksgiving is a very good time of the year. First you get to eat all the amazing food that is prepared. You get turkey, stuffing, potatoes, gravy, and the best of all pumpkin pie. The second reason why thanksgiving is so great is that football is on. The Detroit Lions and the Green Bay Packers play every year at thanksgiving. Most the time we don’t win but that’s okay I still love watching the games hoping that we will win. The third and final thing that makes thanksgiving so great is that you get to visit family and just have a good time hanging out.
Vacation
I love vacations but who doesn’t. The reasons vacations are so nice is that you don’t have to do anything at all. You can just lie around in the sun all day just having people bring you food and drinks. When you get to hot you have a beautiful pool at your disposal. My favorite vacation was when Iwent to Mexico for spring break. I went with 12 other people and we just had a fun time hangout and meeting people from all over the place. We went out at night and had a blast at the clubs. If you have never been to Mexico I highly suggest that you go you won’t regret it.

I believe that a good physical description of myself would be that I am relatively short; okay, so very short. I have blue eyes and brownish hair that is not to long and not bald. I am definitely not the skinniest but I am not four hundred pounds either. My shoe size is an eight and some times smaller when I am in boiling shoes. Today I have a small beard but tomorrow I might shave. My wing span and legs are like most of my body; short. I have a mole on my nose that I want removed but I don’t like needles so I guess it does not bother me to much and what some people call a butt chin but I just call it a indent. My skin is a little tan but not so much any more it is getting too cool to keep it. This is the best description of myself I can give.
When I was in seventh and eighth grad I played football. My first year was a struggle for me. I was short and did not know how to tackle. I learned that a sport like football was a great way to get motivated me to do better my self and strive to better in life. That first year was difficult but I soon learned how to tackle from the friends I made on the field was worth the struggles. Every person that played had a job on the field we all worked together to win the games. I enjoyed football so much that by the end of the year I received the most improved player award. I came to the two a days at the end of summer going in to my eighth grad season and was so exited to play. The team work and friends I mad on the team aloud me to become one of the team captains. I had to keep my grades up an order to play so that was motivation to help with school. I remember specific games and all my teammates’ thro the years of my playing football. It is like a brotherhood you get when playing sports and it is a lot of fun. I feel that you are cheating your self if you do not get to experience that felling. I never got any taller and for that reason I never was able to play in high school but my teammates still remember those days that we where all on the team and we still have are fun talking a bought the games we had.
You go to Elementary school, Middle school and then the almighty High school, and then you find out there is something called collage. Through the years you had no choice on the classes that you took. I went in to middle school and received a locker and a class schedule and then I went to those classes because that is just what people told you had to do. In high school their was a little more flexibility but still restrictions. Then I go to collage and thought I could pick my own schedule but then I found that that is not the case. I do how ever get the choose of what time I go to class and the teacher. It is nice to have options. I am vary happy with all my classes I looked at other university and noticed that their where students teaching and some classes had hundreds of students in them. My classes have been a lot of fun and I have learned a lot. I never had so much homework in my life. I like the transition and understand why the choices get better as the years progress. I like my classes and would not change any thing!
I finally made it to my senior year of high school and my parents asked me what I wonted as a gift. They asked weather I wonted a watch or Maui vacation. I choose to go to Maui it was amazing. I traveled a lot to Florida and loved the tropics. When I landed in Hawaii it struck me that this is not Florida and the views where like I was in a tropic furan Country. The ocean was a crisp light to dark blue as you looked out. Turn your head the other way and you see this lush green mountains and palm trees every where. The sky was a piercing blue that lit up my eyes. Every view I looked at I was in amazement with beauty. The sun sets where the best and worst part of my vacation because watching that sun go down was a sight that will stick with me forever and then you know a nether day was completed. When I go somewhere I like to get to know some of the history and culture of that place. Maui was a lot of fun to learn a bought and visit. The people you meet on vacation are so fun when I went I meet several people from Sweden and other countries that I still talk to. My Maui vacation is a memory I will remember for the rest of my life and cant think of a better gift for my senior gift.

To start, I have hazel eyes and they are actually pretty big along with my lips. I am Italian so I have olive colored skin. My height is 5’1’’ and I am short compared to a lot of people but I am average weight. I have dark brown hair, which goes good with my complexion. My ears are pierced in two places and I have a new piercing also, and it is called a Monroe, which is right above my lip. I am an average looking person.
Justice is a blind goddess that cannot see anything or what is happening around the world. Blacks seem to know this beause they are wise and feel segregated against. Also, seems that we have now formed a nation along time ago that was segregated against both races. Justice has a blind fold on to distinguish that the sores were what was left behind and she cannot see it anymore. But, they once were there.
Anne Mansfield Sullivan was Helen Keller's teacher that taught her how to recognize and spell new words using sign language. Helen learned this on March 3rd, 1887 three months before she was seven. Realizing tha tnothing came as a first try but maybe the second or third after repetition it became easier. Helen did not know how to get help and felt like she was alone until her teacher came and taught her a lot. Recognizing and spelling words is not an easy thing to do and even though Helen was becoming frustrated she still kept trying. Helen learned this day about repentence and sorrow and many new words written in different ways.
Sports make you sweat. Personally I do not like to sweat. But, when I was on the swim team my freshman year I did not sweat because I was in the pool. Swimming was hard for me and it is a good workout for people to do. There are many sports that you do that you sweat and make you feel accomplshed but swimming is a sport that you do not sweat in. Swimming gets your adrenaline going and makes you feel accomplished everytime you perform in front of people.
Holidays are for family's to get together and celebrate coming together as a family. My favorite holiday is Christmas. Christmas makes me feel good about myself because I am able to buy gifts for people that I care about. Also, I recieve good gifts for the gifts that I may have given away. Also, Christmas is wonderful and makes me feel warm inside especially when everything is decorated in lights. My favorite part of Christmas is Christmas music.
When living on campus there are many things to do and many people to meet. My favorite part about living on campus is that I do not have to wake up early in the morning to get to class. Also, I have met a lot of people here and it is definately a home away from home. Also, I like the classes here at Oakland University. Most of my classes are small and I get to know my professors. I think the campus life here is good because there are things to do and there are times where it is quiet and nothing to do at all.
A Job is a luxury that most people are able to have. Jobs give you many good things in life such as money, opportunities, and new friends. Although, some people do not like their jobs which causes them stress and annoyance in their life. There are many different jobs in the world for many different people and there is bound to be a job good for everyone. Jobs also make you more responsible as a person. If you have a job there are many things in that job that you need to be responsible for. A job is a wonderful thing to have.
