Collage Essay

How is your drafting going? Review the links that discuss writing, revision, transitions, etc. Take 60 minutes to read about these things and work on your collage essay.

Then post a well-develped paragraph that tells exactly what you did with your 60 minutes.

Email me the draft of the paper. Do not post the draft here, just the description of what you did goes in comments.

At this time I re-read the links that you posted/. These links gave me some ideas on how to connect my paragraphs together. I used transition words and parallel sentence structure to do this. At first I thought it would be difficult and challenging to link seven non related paragraphs together. However, it was fairly easy.

I put all my paragraphs together based on how i wrote them. They all had something different but i put them in order by what was close togethers and what more since by having one after another.

During the six minutes that we had to finsh our College Essay I went through reading over each of the links. Then I read through my paragraphs. While doing so I looked for spelling errors and made my paragraphs better. After I looked over which paragraphs would be easier to translate into the next. Then I organized them in the order I thought best. After organizing them I read the first paragraph then made a translation into the next. This is what I did in the time spand you gave us

I took the time to see how the paragraphs can relate. By using the last sentence in my paragraphs, I found ways that they connect. Then I would add more detail in the beginning of the next paragraph and make them transition to one another. It looked hard at first because it looked like it had no relation to one another, but I found a way.

I put mine paragraphs together by, doing what i felt was best. I started with the description then sports and so on. I felt its was best to start off the way then end with the topics that are school related

In the reading I found key tools in helping me revise my draft. I looked at the transitions information for a good 15 minutes trying to formulate good phrases. I also moved the order of the paragraphs around to help with the flow of my writine. ALong with Jaime the work had me way more worried than I had to be.

When I started, I looked over and re read all of my paragraphs. I saw what was strong and weak for every paragraph. After revising them I switched their order in the e-mail so that it flowed together smoothly. The whole time I was referencing different sources like the hand book, dictonaries and thesaurus. After doing so I submitted the paragraphs in the e-mail.

I read through each of my paragraphs and decided how i would put them in order. I started with my physical desription than translated it to another by using words that relate to me, and the next paragraph. All the paragraphs have something to do with yourself, so i linked them in several different ways using different words starting with the begginging until the end.

I reread the paragraphs and added sentences at the end to make shore it tied in with next paragraphs. Some are a little hard to do to make them connect. During the time I also looked in the book by Aaron to help with connections.

After reviewing the reading I found that there were many things that helped me. I re-read my essay and made many different corrections. The correction that I made first was trying to get everything to flow. I read my essay out loud to find any mistakes that I may have made. Once I did that I started putting my essay into different paragraphs because when I put my transitions in my essay last night I made it all into one big paragraph. Once I formed my paragraphs I re-read my essay again to change around sentences that did not sound correct. This was challenging at first to figure out how I was going to edit my essay but it seemed to turn out just the way I wanted.

Writing is a very long process and takes a lot of time to perfect. In the last sixty minutes, I spent going through this process of writing. I first, looked over all the links that were presented in how to develop a paragraph and sentences. I then, looked over each sentence and paragraph individually. This took up most of the time, trying to get each sentence to have a noun, verb and so on. Making sure all the sentences in the paragraph all had to do with the topic presented. After all that was completed, I positioned the paragraphs so they all flowed. I did this by adding transitions and topics that could be related in some way.

I took the time to read over the links that you gave us to read, and then I took what I read and put it into my paragraphs. After reading over the paragraphs I was able to add more and fix the mistakes that I had made the first time around.

The last 60 minute have been very productive. I first started with organizing my paragraphs and making good transitions to make it flow better. Then I started to revise my paper by reading each paragraph individual, correcting punctuation, spelling errors and sentence structure. Once I was done with each paragraph individually, I started to read my paper out loud to make sure it flows together and that I didn’t miss any errors. I believe when you read your paper out loud you find mistakes that wouldn’t of found if you were just reading it in your head. Once I was done revising I read my paper one more time, just incase I missed anything. Now, after the 60 minutes I’m very proud of my paper.

There are many steps when writing a paper. The first thing i did when revising my seven paragraphs was chose in which the order i wanted them to be read in. I chose to put my physical appearance first because i felt that was a good way to start of my paper and i ended it with the quote out of the book i am currently reading. I made sure the grammer was all correct and mjy transitions fit in well. I also made sure that i included enough detail to support my paragraphs. I feel writting these seven paragraphs have helped improve my writing and organizing paragraphs to be in the best order possible.

The links helped me understand a good way to connect my paragraphs when there really don't have a common theme.
