I think this project benefits me, because it gives me a chance to interact with others and give the 5th graders a chance to get the experice to be here at oakland University and get the field of college life. Also feel like it will be a joy to give the 5th graders this lovely experice.

The projects benifits me because, it gives me a chance to help young children get a jumps start in life. A chance that I wish I could have had when I was there age. College is what you need now to get a good job now days. So I know when they get into college they will need a master degree to get a job. So it is best that you start the kids off now and telling them all the good stuff about college life. I am glad that I can make a diffence in their lives

Jozlyn, Devin, and Tiff,

Thank you for your responses. But they still focus on how this project helps the children. How will this project help YOU achieve learning goals for this course and your education?

This experience benefits me a great deal. The experience comes with better communications, great listening skills and to be able indicate formal writing from informal writing

Inviting the fifth graders to college will be a good learning experience for both the fifth graders and our class. We will learn many things about campus, about the lives of fifth graders and what they think about school, and we will also learn about teaching and describing things to other people to help them achieve their goals in life instead of just achieving ours.
Writing letters to the fifth graders will also help improve our reading and writing. This will help us because we are writing letters to a different audience and we are also trying to make it profession and fun at the same time.
The fifth graders will have a connection with the college because they may want to go here once they find out what they want to be. Also, this may help us explore different areas of the college also and help us find a different career also by teaching someone else.

i think this project benefits us because it helps connect us to the community. it also give the 5th graders an opportunity to experience life in college and we also would able to inflence the little ones to continue on with their education! and most of all we would be role models to the 5th graders, and to me thats a good feeling.
